Please, read carefully the guidance and care instructions below

Instructions for the jewellery buyer

1. Signing in to MyJemma Service

  • For registration, we recommend that you give your permanent personal email address rather than one that may change over time.
  • After completing the payment, you will be directed to the "account management" page of your MyJemma Service.
  • On the "account management" page, you can view and edit your own information, change your password, view order history, and open a jewellery account to add and edit content.
  • We recommend that you immediately change the cryptic login password that you received with the order confirmation email, replacing it with one that is easier to remember. This change can be done in the "user information" page. Use a strong password unknown to others. Before navigating to another page, be sure to save your changes using the “save” button in the "user information" page.
  • On the “jewellery accounts” page, you may give a nickname for your new account (e.g., the first name of the gift recipient). This helps you to identify a specific account if you have more than one. Do not create the PIN at this time. Enter the PIN later when you link the jewellery to a specific account (see instructions below).
  • Next time you want to access the Service, use the “sign in” button in the top right corner of this website.
  • At the "sign in" prompt, type in your registration email and password (either the new password if you changed it or the original password from the order confirmation email).

2. Adding and editing content on your MyJemma jewellery account

  • On the "jewellery accounts" page of MyJemma Service, you can select and open the account you wish to edit (the "edit content" button).
  • The first time you open the account, the page has some instructions that can be removed as guided in the text.
  • Using the commands on the menu (upper left corner) you can change the page background (three different themes) and add text, images and videos to the page directly from the archives of your device (phone, tablet, or computer).
  • To save you time, we recommend that you think about the story you wish to share ahead of time. See below the example of an account page for some ideas for your own story.
  • An example of content adding: select the "picture + text" icon from the menu, and an empty frame with a “add new photo” button will appear on the page. Push the button to access your device’s photo archives and select the photo you want to insert to the frame.
  • The upload time of the content item depends on the size of the file and the speed of your Internet connection. Uploading long videos can take over 20 minutes if your Internet connection is slow.
  • Each new file you upload to the account is automatically saved. Progression of the file uploading/saving can be seen in the lower left corner of the image frame (“saving” indicator).
  • After a new content file is fully uploaded, you can type a caption for it. Note that if you attempt to upload more than one file at a time, the system slows down.
  • The empty frame for a new content file is always located at the bottom of the page. You can move the frame and its content using the up/down arrow keys on the right-hand side of each frame.
  • The preview command can be used at any time to visualise the end-user’s scene.
  • In preview mode, you can enlarge each content item to its full size by clicking it. A video starts to play when you tap it.
  • You can leave the preview and return to editing mode by clicking the “edit content” button.
  • You can also toggle between different jewellery accounts by clicking "switch account" button.
  • When you are done with editing, you can set whether or not the end-user receives an email notification that the account has been modified. If you would like to notify the end-user about the changed content, check the "email notifications" box on the "jewellery accounts" page. The email notification will be sent to the end-user when you exit the Service.

3. Linking a piece of jewellery to an account

  • When your jewellery purchase has arrived by mail, you can link it to a specific account in the MyJemma Service.
  • Touch the jewellery with an NFC-enabled phone or scan the QR code from the back side of the jewellery, and follow the prompt.
  • The phone's NFC reader is usually in the back cover near the battery or the camera. Move your phone over the back side of the MyJemma jewellery to find the location of the reader (the sweet spot).
  • On the "jewellery accounts" page, select the account that you want to link with this particular jewellery.
  • Finally, on the same page create and enter a 4-digit PIN for the jewellery account AND write it on the sticker at the bottom of the gift box. The end-user of the jewellery can access the account only with this PIN.

Instructions for the jewellery end-user

1. Opening the jewellery account using an NFC-enabled phone

  • In most smartphones, the NFC feature is already enabled. If not, turn it on in your phone settings (e.g., Settings->Wireless and Network Settings ->More->NFC). For more instructions, check the manual of your phone.
  • The phone's NFC reader is usually in the back cover near the battery or the camera. Move your phone over the back side of the MyJemma jewellery to find the location of the reader (the sweet spot).
  • Your phone reacts with the NFC tag on the jewellery by opening a prompt window in the Web browser of your phone.

2. Opening the jewellery account using a smartphone with camera

  • Open your smartphone's QR code reader. If your phone does not have a QR code reader, you can download it for free from the app store (e.g., Google Play Store or Apple store). We recommend using an advertisement-free QR code reader since sometimes the advertisements may block the function keys of our user interface.
  • Scan the QR code of the jewellery using the reader. Scanning requires good lighting.
  • Your phone opens a prompt window in the Web browser.

3. When you sign in to the jewellery account for the first time

  • The first time you sign in, enter your permanent personal email address in the prompt field. This is for future reference should you ever lose your PIN. You will also get notification at this email address when the jewellery account is updated. Make sure you enter your email address correctly without typos or empty spaces. After this, you can log in using the PIN written on the bottom of your gift box. If the jewellery box does not have a PIN, ask the gift giver to give it to you and write it down on the sticker at the bottom of the gift box.
  • If you forget your PIN and you have lost the gift box, you can request to restore the PIN using the prompt on the login page by giving your email address. Then check your email for the PIN and write it down.

An example of a jewellery account page

Create your own story to delight the recipient of your MyJemma jewellery gift. Add, change, and edit the content of your account within the limits of your account type.

At the top of the page, write a title that captures the reader’s attention. Then add the most significant photo/video or the first photo in your timeline. Captions give depth to your message. You can also insert subheadings to structure the story.

Care instructions

We recommend taking the jewellery off whenever you are in an environment where there is dust, grease, and/or chemicals.

Avoid coming in contact with cosmetic products while wearing your jewellery. Sun lotions, perfumes, and other cosmetics/chemicals can oxidise the silver and tarnish your jewellery. You can reduce chemical exposure to your jewellery by removing your piece when you apply makeup, haircare, or other cosmetic products.

Always take your jewellery off before a shower, sauna, or swim. Although MyJemma emotion jewellery is splash-proof, do not submerge your jewellery in water. Do not expose your jewellery to high temperatures (above + 60° C). We also recommend removing bracelets when washing dishes.

Take the jewellery off when you engage in heavy physical activity.

Regular wiping of the jewellery with a microfiber cloth and / or silver polishing cloth keeps your jewellery clean and shiny. Silver polishing cloths may contain residues that stain clothes. You can avoid this by wiping off the residues from the jewellery with a microfiber cloth before wearing it.

MyJemma jewellery must not be cleaned with liquid silver cleaners or in an ultrasonic bath.

If you wish, you may send your jewellery to us for cleaning. For more information and a cleaning service price quote, please contact our customer service.
